Cambridge ESOL exams
The official site of Cambridge ESOL Examinations with sample exams for all levels (e.g. KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE) to be used for self-assessment since answers are provided. Click on “Exams” to get a list of exams for general, business and academic English. It includes a separate section on Candidate Support exam preparation.
Oxford First Certificate/Oxford Proficiency in English
The official site of Oxford University Press. Click on ‘Which books for which exams’. To view the exam page you need to log in but registration is free. Also, click on ‘Online practice’ and select additional exam oriented material.
Michigan Proficiency Tests
The official site of the Hellenic-American Union. Click on ‘Examinations’ to download sample exam papers for ECCE and ECPE. The site also provides exam preparation for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT and TOEIC
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The official site of the TOEFL exam with sample tests and keys for self-assessment.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
A site with sample tests of the Graduate Record Examination for students who want to test their linguistic competence at a more advanced level. The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study. GRE also includes subject tests including Literature and Psychology.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
The official site for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The site provides information for the test and free sample tests for academic reading and writing.
Test of English for Interantional Communication (TOEIC)
The official site of the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), a widely used English language test for professional English.
Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)
This is the official site for the SAT test with information and online registration. Sample tests are not available.
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
The official site of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) which provides information about the test. It provides study suggestions, test-taking strategies and test preparation materials.
